2022 Books

At the beginning of the year, I made an intention to read books. I see people out there reading 50-60 books in a year! But that was a large number for me, so I thought of reading 10 books. Thinking this was small, I got motivation by a tweet by Maulana Ismail Kamdar of South Africa who encouraged me to read, even if it is 10.

So, I tried and I did read more than 10 actually, including an audio book. Here's the top 10:

2022 Books:

1. A Beautiful Patience, Shabbir Hassan

2. War Horse (audiobook), Michael Morpurgo

3. The Middler, Kirsty Applebaum

4. Revive Your Heart, Nouman Ali Khan

5. A Long Jihad, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Bari

6. Boy Everywhere, A.M Dassu

7. Where The Streets Had A Name, Randa Abdel Fattah

8. Dead of Night, Michael Grant

9. As Long As The Lemon Trees Grow, Zoulfa Katouh

10. Fight Back, A.M Dassu

I'm in the process of reading four other books. I know I can't finish them this year, however, the point isn't to just finish. It's to read. Reading allows you to freshen your mind, learn things, get different perspectives and appreciate different things. Explore, expand your mind, experience, learn new words etc. There is also a difference in reading a physical book, then reading on a electronical device.

Even if you have intention to read 1 book in 2023, do it.
