RECIPE: Bangladeshi Omelette (Dimer Omelette)

Bangladeshi Egg Omelette



Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili (khasa moris), finely chopped
  • A pinch of fresh coriander, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tsp oil (mustard oil or vegetable oil)




Instructions

  1. Prepare the eggs

    • Crack the eggs into a bowl.
    • Add salt and black pepper.
    • Beat lightly with a fork until the mixture is smooth.


  1. Add flavorings

    • Mix in the chopped onion, green chili, and coriander.
    • Stir well so everything is evenly spread.
  2. Cook the omelette

    • Heat oil in a frying pan on medium heat.
    • Pour in the egg mixture and spread it out evenly.
    • Cook for 1–2 minutes until the edges are set and golden.
    • Gently flip or fold the omelette and cook for another minute until fully cooked.
  3. Serve

    • Serve hot with paratha, roti, or steamed rice.
