This is a recipe I've come up with, a bit of a random creation, that actually works, mashaAllah. The following recipe can feed 10 people, inshaAllah.
You don't need to use too much oil, and I generally avoid adding salt, so I haven't included it in this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 450g Salami
- Tandoori Marinade (enough to cover the Salami)
- 5 portions of Instant Noodles (I used Pran Beef flavor brand)
- 400ml Coconut Milk
- 1 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup or Passata
- 1/2 Large Onion
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- Pepper (to taste)
- Dukkah (Optional)
- 2Tbsp Oil (or Ghee)
- Other spices of your preference
- Sumac (Optional)
- Parsley (Optional)
- Za'atar (Optional)
Method:
- 1. Begin by saying Bismillah and Salawat.
- 2. Chop the Salami into small cubes.
- 3. Cube the onions.
- 4. Chop the garlic.
- 5. Boil the noodles separately or place them in a large bowl with boiled water.
- 6. Fry the Salami in 1 tbsp of oil (or Ghee), then put it in a bowl with the Tandoori marinade. Set aside.
- 7. In the same pan, add 1 tbsp of oil (or Ghee) and fry the onions for a few minutes until soft.
- 8. Add the garlic.
- 9. Add the seasoning from the Instant Noodles to the onion mixture.
- 10. Add Dukkah, pepper and other spices and seasonings you like.
- 11. Pour in the coconut milk (make sure to stir it in the tin first).
- 12. Add the tomato ketchup or Passata.
- 13. Bring it to a boil.
- 14. Carefully add the Salami (be careful not to add extra marinade).
- 15. Stir for 1 minute.
- 16. Carefully add the noodles and combine them with the sauce and Salami.
- 17. Sprinkle with Sumac, Za'atar, and Parsley.
- 18. Serve and enjoy!
